Just Got Word My Fiance Has Been Moved From State To County (in Pennsylvania).....he Is In For Dui/probation Revocation. Was Sentenced 90 To 1 1/2 For The Dui, And 1 1/2 To 3 On Revocation. A Inmates Advocacy Group (lewisburg Prison Project) Got Involved, Because Franks Rights Were Violated On The Revocation Charge.
Now....
Franks Appeal Was Filed By The Public Defender. Frank Had Filed His Own Appeal, But His Paperwork Got Sent Back....because The Pd Filed It.
My Question.....since I Am Really Confused Here...( I Had Called The Courthouse Last Week, And They Said No Appeal Had Been Filed!)....is This A Good Thing? Would He Have His Appeal Scheduled So Quickly If He Didnt Have A Case?
Would An Inmates Advocecy Group Become Involved If He Didnt Have A Chance Of Winning?
Please........any Comments, Anything Will Relieve My Anxiety!
Thank You All So Much!

If this person was convicted in court and sentenced to prison, he has a right to an appeal within a time frame. Usually, the litigant must request that the Appellate Defender's Office represent him on his claim if he is indigent.

Don't take me for an expert, I'm not, but it would seem to me that the advocacy group being involved is encouraging
