California Sunshine 10-17-2004, 01:32 AM Good luck :) lani 10-17-2004, 02:25 AM Thanks.. I'll need all the luck I can get. LOL.. Jen661 10-17-2004, 09:58 AM south beasch diet has become a lifestyle for me! The first 2 weeks are horrible and you will crave things so bad but you have to stay strong! I lost like 8lbs the first week so I just moved on to phase 2. I don't follow the book now I just have the rules imbedded in my head! LOL I only wanted to lose about 15lbs so it was real easy on south beach. I had a problem with carbs so I had to find a diet that would balance carbs out for me. It was great my entire family is on it and everyone has had amazing results. Just stay motivated and remember to look at food more as a fuel your body needs. Food tastes wonderful and I think that is why people eat so much. The food on this diet is a bit blan but you learn as time goes on that you ate a lot more then you were actually hungry! You have to cook a lot of your foods but if you do need something quick you do have options at fast food resturants! feel free to pm me if you have any questions! Good luck ddavi 10-17-2004, 11:22 AM I started the South Beach diet earlier this year. I work on it in phases because the first two week phase is pretty tough. The key I found was to always have snacks ready when you are hungry. When I went to work I took a big bag of cut up veggies to snack on which kept me from wanting to run to the snack machine at work. I had about 60 pounds I wanted to loose. I have lost about 35 so far and I have 25 more to go. After the first phase all seems pretty easy and now I even eat out and treat myself at times and I have never put any of the wight back on. It works really well. Jasonslite 10-19-2004, 01:15 PM I just got the book this weekend. I am reading it through then I will start probably in a couple of weeks. I have lost about 15lbs since august, but I am at a stand still. Good luck to us all. lani 10-20-2004, 11:35 PM Well I'm on the third day.. Since last night, I've been feeling so dizzy and light headed, I thought I was going to faint on the train on my way to work this morning. I found out that I'm not getting enough calories and eating too little. So I guess I'll have to start eating bigger portions. But I'm so disappointed in myself, I'm feeling especially sad and depressed cause I miss my honey so much, I got angry and ate everything I wasn't suppose to eat for dinner. And only three days into my diet. |
