Someone will be able to tell you better on how many. You can send blank paper, envelopes, but it cant go over a 10 page limit. You can also send in blank greeting cards (with the 10 page limit) so like, 5 cards, and 5 envelopes. You can order in magazines, and books for you friend there as well, as long as it comes from a publisher. I am not sure about stickers, but I am sure someone can answer that for you as well :D Tracy68 10-15-2004, 05:02 AM Ok thanks:thumbsup: celine 10-15-2004, 09:14 AM I wrote someone on DR in Florida State Prison...and I did use stikers once but they were all removed. He had to tell me not to do it again... good writings !! Kong Girl 10-18-2004, 10:24 AM Welcome to the wonderful world of FSP/UCI Death Row. I was there -FSP- yesterday and the latest is that the guys of Death Row are being limited to recieving 5 mags a month and one newspaper, they have to choose which they want to continue to receive, if they are receiving more than that. He also told me that they are cracking down on mail. No Scotch tape on things (his mom sent two pages from Sports Illustrated that she taped together, it was returned), no sitickers (depends on the gentle reader), I've found sending a few things spread over several days is more well received than a thick envelope with the max allowed, he gets mail on more than one day. Here's a link to the DOC site, it should help: http://www.dc.state.fl.us/oth/inmates/index.html They can purchase some items, if they have funds. Be careful there. Yes, they do need things and so often the families either can't or won't send money. That's something only you can decide. There will come a time when you will be asked. I'll refer you to the link above as I don't know the rules for overseas. Thanks for writng to one of the guys! Danip 11-01-2004, 06:11 PM It depends. If you're sending photos, there can't be any more than 5, and stamps are limited to a book..only 5 pages of additional materials, in addition to the letter. The link that Kong Girl posted will have everything you need. Don't worry too much, though, I've been writing DR for a while now, and haven't had any problems. |
