I was reading in another forum and I came up with this question. J and I did not live together before he went in he lived with his mom about 45 minutes away from me, in another town where the crime was committed. We have one child together. Will he be able to parole to me since we are not married and I live in another town---does this matter in Georgia. I feel like my house will be approved unless they dont because I live near a school and he was charged with possession (along with other crimes) but no selling of drugs and no sex crime. So I am freaking out here----someone help me out.
Please :(

Okay,... good news. You don't have to be married for him to parole out to your home. The second piece of good news is that he CANNOT parole out to the same county of his conviction, so the fact that you're in a different city is a GOOD thing. The fact that you've also got a child together is a plus. I hope this helps, if you need more info, contact me via pm or through The Carter Foundation.
