My man goes to court tomorrow. He signed what his laywer sent to him, saying that he will do 5 years on each charge to run concurrent. Also, his birthday is today!!!! He is 26 and right now, he is just 15 miles away from me. So close, yet so far away. I'm just so happy that I will get to see him tomorrow. I haven't gotten to see him since July. So, I'm ready to see him tomorrow and I'm ready to get all of this over with.

I remember when my man went to court while he was still in county, I was so excited to be able to get to see him not behind the glass and give him a hug and quick kiss. Even if it wasn't for very long, it was so nice. Good luck with everything tomorrow!

Sorry, I meant to tell you guys what happened, but I have been sick with a sinus infection. So yesterday I had to go to the doctor. He got 5 years on each charge to run concurrent. (3 charges in all, I believe he said) So, hopefully he will have a possible parole date soon. I got to go see him Wed. night. It was great and sad at the same time. I have never seen him cry until Wed. And it was so hard to just have to walk away. I called the jail today, and he has been sent back to Grimes. :( I was hoping that I would be able to see him on Sunday visitation too. But, now I won't be able to. I'm just glad that I finally got to see him. It let me know that he is OK and that maybe I just worry too much.

Ok, you try not to worry and we'll all try not to worry either *smiles*
If anything's easier said than done it's trying not to worry!
I think most of us here will tell u the look on their man's face as he was sentenced and taken away if forever etched in memory. Sad, humbled, just so so sad.

Dito! to what Juliwaits replied! I will never forget that court day. But the people that you meet here make the transition alot easier.

Yeah, that's really tough to have to see your man go through that. But good thing you guys got a chance to visit and can now count down the days until he's home again!

Yes, it was very hard to watch him go through all of that. Especially knowing that there was nothing I could do. He called me a few minutes ago.....and I made a comment about him crying. He, being his sarcastic self said...I don't cry..there must have been dust in the room...yeah, that's it dust. Of course, we all know better. He also was telling me that he has been having a very bad day today and that talking to me helped calm him down. It put him in a better mood. :D I miss him so much and after seeing him, it seems like I miss him more. If that is possible.

that's cute... dust.
i remember when mine was sentenced, a girl came up and said "bad day huh? it'll get better" it was her way of saying "i've been where you are and you will survive" i can't tell you how much it meant to me.
