Is there any body who can help me to find a place to sleep - stay during my two international visits in Florence? The hotels are more than I can afford.
I am writing someone there and I visit him in January between the 7th and 14th January. It would be too nice to find something private to stay.
I really need some help.

The Blue Mist Motel is located in Florence and charges $65 per night, I understand. In the adjoining town of Coolidge,5 miles away are two other motels. Also 7miles out of town is the Gotno Ranch, they can be reached at gotno@cgmailbox.com. Thier rates are $75 per night. I am waiting to hear from someone about area organizations that may can help those who cannot afford these rates, but my information was only forwarded today, so it will be a few days. You will need a rent a car or friend for all but, the Mist, another member posted that they help with transport into the prison.

75 $ for 6 nights plus rental car and flight fares is too much for my budget.
These high prices are the reason for my thread :-))

I am not in AZ but this is a suggestion.. when people travel to my cityand are traveling on a budget they will look for hostels... there are international networks of hostels.. and they are nice and safe and clean.. I know of many friends who have used them in their travels.. check with a search engine for a hostel group and see if they have any in AZ... that is just an idea.. you can check it all out online

If you get to Phoenix AZ by bus or plane, I can pick you up and you can stay at my house and I will drive you to Florence.All I will ask you for is gas.
I have a small Truck its pretty good on gas unless the prices go up to $5 a gallon!!! then we can hitch hike just kidding!!! I have a step-son in Florence I will ask him to put in a special visit for me and that way I can visit with him while your enjoying your visit. PM me and let me know ok
