I don't understand how to get into the chat room. Please Help!!!

Is there someone reading this? I'm trying to get into the chat room, but can't figure out what to do. Help!!!

I am able to get as far as the screen that comes up with user and password. The user is displayed but I cannot remember the password. Is this a new password or the old one. Either way there is no option to try and retrieve my password as I do not remember what it is. Help
