I have a few questions if anyone knows. For the state of Texas, Tim has a mandatory 5 year sentence for a gun charge that he is currently serving time for. But he is supposed to be released in 4 years if all goes well in prison.
My question is, is it possible if he can get out any sooner? He just completed the optional drug program in his federal facility, which a year off the sentence is supposed to be granted. We are not sure if the BOP will grant this with a mandatory 5 year gun charge. Will they? And also, can he opt out into a halfway house with that sentence 6 months prior to release?
I am really trying to understand his options and if he could be granted these things with that type of charge. I appreciate anyone who knows about this. Pookie :fb:
