Visitation is from 12- 4 . As for food, they have 1 vending maching with chips and stuff, then they have 2 coke machines and 1 vending machine with sandwiches. They do have a Jaycees that you can buy nachos and pictures. What I really like about the Jaycess there is you can buy stuff like cokes and sandwiches for your loved one for during the week. You can also buy pictures at visitation for your loved one to take on Saturday inside their barraks or outside. The visitation is really nice there. You are in a pretty small room, that fills up pretty fast, but all the guards are really nice and will talk to you like you are human. My husband has been at Grimes and Varner. The Diagnostic Unit is by far the better. He is staying there until he goes to work release or home (Clemency). I hope this helps
