Hi All

From my prior post's you know I'm a proponent for prop 66 and I've talked to many that support prop 66 and equally as many that don't. However down in San Diego where I live I have not seen one commercial for or against prop 66. So to those of you around the state, have you seen any ads or is it just that prop 66 polled so high with those in favor that both sides kinda see it as a waste to advertise.

I've only seen a few editorials and comments in local papers, but that's it!

I'm just curious cause I read today that supporters of prop 68 (the slot machine bill) have pulled all future ads for Yes on 68 cause polls show it will be defeted.

Although I am in Indiana I have contacts from many areas. What I have been told is that they plan on flooding the market starting on I believe it was the 18th but it might have been the 25th for it closer to the election. The cost of the advertisements are extremely costly and from what I understood (which I might have misunderstood the information completely) is that although they have 450,000$ to spend on the ads it will be gone in only a matter of days with the extreme cost of them.

Please let me know is anything does show up as my friends and I were just discussing this yesterday and I know in the Oakland area they aren't seeing anything yet either.
Nor up near Chico are they seeing them and I already knew that LA and San Deigo hadn't seen them.

Again like I said I could of misunderstood and have not spoken to the person that keeps me informed in over a week.
I HOPE and PRAY it passes .. GOODLUCK everyone out there. we need this to pass so badly I wished there was more I could do from here and YES I have written to the governor and all of legislation in SUPPORT of it passing but I do know it takes the VOTERS to get it done.
GOODLUCK

From what I hear, there wont be many commercials, due to it has way more supporters than they thought. I forget exactly what my friend told me, she gave me cost breakdowns on it, it would cost them way more money to make commercials against it that it would for it, so they wont do many against it. I forget but its a good thing we dont see bad commercials, but we need to get people more aware of it!

I have done some volunteer work at CAVC and the talk is, if the "other side" does not do it then we won't either. We seem to have the support to get it passed (over 76% in favor) and would hate for the issue to get clouded with the propaganda and scare tactics from the opponents. :blah: :blah: :blah: I am sure that if you see one it will be negative first. There was even talk that Joe Klass would help in an ad spot in some way if yes on 66 needed to do some advertising. ( I have heard nothing about a 450,000 advertising budget, we could only pray)

On November 2nd, VOTE VOTE VOTE! I think the last day to register in California is Oct. 18th. Please do it if you have not!
