I am an ICU nurse and all week I have been taking care of a critically ill man whose son, Ricky morrow in on death row, Ricky is scheduled to be executed 10-20-04. His poor father lies in his own death bed, dying from a broken heart. My patient is aware of how close his son is to his death and he feels totally hopless because he knows he will never be able to see his son alive again. Rickey has 5 sisters who go visit their father everyday. They are very sweet and loving. I cannot even imagine the pain they are going through, having their father so sick and their only brother awaiting execution. What shocks me is that Ricky never murdered anyone. He was charged with attempted murder of an FBI agent. We know well that if it were attempted murder of you or me, he would not be facing death row. I guess Texas feels FBI agents are worth more than "regular" people. Enough to kill!! Please pray for the Morrow family. Please reply to this thread and I will express support to Mr Morrow on your behalf.

Mr Morrow and his entire family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I have been thinking all day what to write in this thread, and I just cant come up with the right words to express how sad I feel about this whole situation. :( No words can describe what this family is going through. This is very sad.

I read the thread on Ricky and reading it absolutely breaks my heart. I can't believe that people are so stripped of their humanity that they can treat others like this.May God grant His peace and strength to this tortured family. They are really in my thoughts and prayers.

Please express my deepest regrets to Mr. morrow and assure him not all of us in Texas are as quick to call for death as the # of executions here each year would make it seem. Infact, some of us are appalled by how easily our officials can demand the execution of our citizens. Please tell the family my prayers are with them and as well let them know I would be very interested in writing an article for our paper here, if someone should want to contact me from the family about it. It isn't much just a small town paper, but I know the Editor would accept my work, as he has before, and maybe Ricky's story could open the eyes of a few,anyway. omg!! this is horrible! i will definatly pray for theyre family, i cant imagine. oh i just have this awful feeling in my stomach. poor things.

I have emailed the warden twice i think this is wrong. I'm hoping and praying they give him a stay of execution. Seems like in texas they just want to kill. Well he didnt kill anyone so this cant be eye for eye.

HE was being arrested for the 1982 murder of Mark Frasier when he shot and hit an FBI agent who was attempting to arrest him. He is on death row for the murder, not for the attempted murder of an FBI agent.

HE PLED GUILTY TO THE MURDER OF MARK FRASIER.

it says nothing about Mark Frasier, it only says the attempted murder of a FBI agent while robbing a bank. It even has his priors listed and has nothing about a murder

The state of Texas is scheduled to execute Ricky Eugene Morrow on Oct. 20 for the 1982 murder of Mark Frasier and the attempted murder an FBI agent who was attempting to arrest Morrow. Morrow robbed the Metropolitan Savings and Loans Association Bank at a shopping center in Harris County. It was the second bank he had robbed that day. Police later surrounded the hotel room which Morrow and his wife, Linda Ferguson Morrow occupied. Morrow reportedly opened fire on two of the FBI agents.

If you go back and read the page you listed, it says he got 50 years for the attempted murder of the FBI men.
That rap sheet is dated before his trial for the murder of Mark Frasier.

PTO is a place for support, not for condeming period. it doesn't matter what Ricky did or didn't do, what matters is the State of Texas is about to execute him. This thread was started for his dying Father about his son, not to go back and forth about Ricky's guilt. If you read PTO Policies and Rules you will find that we are not here to judge an inmates guilt or innocence. We are not an activist site we are a support site.
