dam.....the only thing I gottz to post is a confirmation of what u said candy. I was there this morning, and the CO's were in the parking lot trying to ward off the angry visitors...... no visting!!!!!!!!! I talked with the CO's they "said 'hopefully' by next weekend it will be open again, but its very serious,so serious they coulndt give any information about what was going on" and the CO i spoke with said he had never seen it like this before. So, lets cross our fingers for visiting next week. Everyone is on lockdown except for the workers who are considered "critical workers", said another one of the CO's.

Dang ladies, that's some crazy stuff. Yup, that's exactly what I heard...the guy had a cell phone with the phone charger in his cell. I got the following info. off another group and thought I would share it....now this is one of those times that I can say, "Things that make you go hummm????"

Again, this is a response I got from someone else on another group.....

"The investigation unit (Goon Squad) is saying that the phone was sent in by Visitors through the packages back in March. Do they expect us to believe an inmate has had a cell phone in his cell since March without its discovery? Without a jealous inmate telling? Without it being found during their many searches? I do not know why I continue to be surprised by the audacity of CDC.

First off it doesn't say much about CDC when a cell phone can get past the R&R officer whose job it is to inspect EVERY package sent into the prison, if the officer let it thru then the officer is as guilty as the inmate who received the contraband and visitor who sent it in. Second it doesn't say much for their ability to do through'll searches of the cell if the cell phone wasn't discovered for nearly 7-months. Third, the cell phone would have had to be used basically in the open since (I know first-hand) cell phones DO NOT work well in the buildings, and according to my source it was a phone with a camera and there were many photo's on the phone of the prison."

Heh, those comments were made by someone who obviously has not worked in a prison. But I don't want to get into that.

I just wanted to say that, although I don't know the details, whenever contraband is found of a very serious nature they will completely lock the yard down until they can thoroughly search the yard. That shouldn't take more than a week. Visiting is usually the first thing they restore. So I would make an educated guess that visiting, of some sort, will be restored by next weekend.

The guys are off lockdown now and there should be visiting this weekend since they are allowing NON-Contact appointments to be made.

Vistingis back, yes.....problably as you all know. You know I just wanted to let you guys know some interesting information I found out. They think that one of the CO's gave it to the inmates. It was an LGVX6000, the new verizon camera phones, with a charger. CMC had all the CO's interviewed, and yes the entire EAST facility was searched down to the cracks in the walls. But something I find funny. The cell phone was found in A quad. They searched the quads in this order, D,C,B,then A. (no brainer?) Its all a little fishy, but im just glad to have my visits back.

Got to love it...ha ha ha. I do wonder, however, who was paying the phone bill. Hmmmmm.

Dont forget the "man safe" hiding place. Once locked away all the cell searches in the world won't find it and even the hand held metal detector won't detect it.
