I just wanted to tell you all about something that I could not beleive! This last weekend I finally got to visit Sonny. When ever I visit I wear his wedding ring in and he wears it during visit then gives it back before I go. Sunday he was called to leave visitation early because of the seggregation thing going on in Calipatria right now. He forgot to give me his ring back! One of the COs had mentioned it earlier, asked wht he was wearing it, and he told her that he doesn't wear it in the back he just likes to wear it because to us we are married! Anyway, he went back, and of course they took it from him. He had someone call me this evening to tell me that they brought it back to him and said he could keep it!! I don't know if it was because our wedding was postponed and they felt sorry for us or what!! But someone in there has a heart! I wish I could thank whoever it was! It sure made Sonny happy!!:D Me too!!

I snuck Billys wedding ring in and he put it in his mouth to get it back inside, and wears it every day. He doesn't wear it to visits though cuz he's afraid they might catch on, but i can see the lines on his finger where he wears it inside. It really makes me feel good because he had a problem wearing it out here-- go figure.

that is great. i am glad that it worked out and he didnt get in trouble for it. i know here in washington you have something that isnt on your books you get in trouble and written up and then you have to go through the appeal process.

That's great! I know this is a happy happy joy joy forum but when my husband was there, they said he couldn't have his ring because it had a diamond in it. Did his ring have a diamond in it? He still hasn't got his ring back. :(

Veronica, No they are not allowed to have any stone in them! Just plain gold band! And under $100. I had to take in a receipt and they made a copy of it. I guess they don't want to be responsible for anything else. They probably put it in his property. He'll get it when he gets out, or he could probably have it released to you. Maybe you could get him a plain gold band to replace it while he's in? Good luck!

Oh.. Just You and Sonny go breakin hearts everywhere. Great story! My husband and I were both in the county jail for 34 days. My husband was smart and bought me another plain band wedding ring before we went to trial. After we were remanded into custody and processed I gave my ring up to go into my property. My husband kept his on the whole time. About 2 weeks after being there I realized jail isn't like what you see on TV. I met some really nice woman in there, we still write each other.I wrote a request for my wedding ring (plain gold band out of property). The next morning a CO hand delivered it in a paper bag. She was so nice to do that and such a quick response just floored me. To the girls that don't know what to do. You maybe able to add a (cheap) ring into his property and have him on the other end request to receive it out of property. Good Luck.
