My husband told me he heard that no one was being sent to Brickeys because they have staff infecton (don't think I spelled staff correctly). They have assigned him to go there but he thinks he won't be sent there because of that. Possibly sto the prison near Newport. Anyone know anything about that? And what is the prison near Newport like? What is Brickeys like? Thanks

my son is at brickeys and works in kitchen. he has said nothing about staff infection and would if its really bad. the prision in newport is fairly new and they send mostly younger prisioners there. So as far as prisons go is the one at Brickey's decent? What type of work are they assigned? Do they work in the fields? Anything you can tell me I appreciate. Thanks so much for replying.

yes its pretty decient. they have hoe squad as most prisions do. my son goes to school part of day working on ged and cooks part of time. the barracks are like all others some have pretty good inmates and some he dont want to have to go to. where in ark do u live. Thanks for replying. I'm not sure now if my husband will go to Brickey's or the unit at Newport. His parole date is Nov 2....I wonder what happens when your time is that short? I guess all prisons have certain things in common. Bottom line is just to survive it and come out undamaged. I pray that you son is safe and that his time is short. I can only imagaine how hard it must be for you as a mother. My heart goes out to you.
