They moved Ronnie to Elmore.Any info will be appreciated.How do they work visitation. Thanks for nay help!!

You know... I can't offhand think of anyone currently here who has someone at Elmore. But maybe some have been there in the past.... hopefully someone will be able to give you more info!

Even tho I of course don't know visiting schedules/exact procedures there, most of the general rules on what to wear/not wear etc. will probably be the same... all that stuff's pretty much statewide...

I almost missed this here in the news forum! When did they move Ronnie, and have you spoke with him? I guess he and Joey won't ever meet up now. :(

I used to have a friend in Elmore. I don't know much about visitation schedules or anything (sorry) but...like Lysbeth said...I'm sure the dress code, etc. is about the same. From what I've heard...they are all about the same at each facility.
But...I know when my friend was in Elmore...he said it wasn't that bad of a place (given the circumstances....). I hope everything works out for the both of you...and hopefully someone will be answer your questions about the visitation schedule.

Hey ladies! Ronnie called today and told me it was not that bad.The food was a little better.There were a couple of men there that he had met at ventress.The visitation is much better.I get to see him every other Sunday from 7-1.I hope we get to stay the whole 6hr's and they don't split it up like some do.He said you can go outside there, at ventress you stay in small room.By the time all the families get in there to see there loved one it is so loud you can't hear yourself think muchless talk.
we are still not sure why they moved him, but i guess we find out soon enough.They gave him a letter after SAP class and told him he would be reclassified in Oct.That has not happened yet.God works in mysterious ways so we are going to wait and find out!!

Kay, I wish Ronnie had met Joey before he left.Ronnie is an easy person to like.I'm sure Joey would have gotten along great with him.As far as them meeting up later, you never know what God has in store for any of them.If they don't meet up inside,who know's they could always meet on the outside.Alabama is not that big of a state.Ronnie likes to travel,He is a truck driver ,you know!LOL

They moved him Thursday morning.He was very surprised.I guess that's why they didn't take him out of the SAP dorm when they moved the other's! WHO KNOW"S????

Elmore Alabama or the facility? if he is in Drapers they have visitation 2 a month and Staton have visitation once a month. it sucks but hey at least you get to go and visit. where was he before he got moved to Elmore?

He was at ventress before elmore.He is in Elmore correctional Facility.I know it's not draper.Where is staton at?

They gave him a job today in a recycling place.He will tell me more when he calls.

We do get to visit twice per month.Inside or outside.

Kay, let's pray it is sunny on oct. 10th when i go visit.Maybe we can stroll thru the park!!LOL I just want to see him,even if it is inside!

It.s nasty at Elmore.It's real loud in the room if your lucky you will get a
place outside.And it stinks outside.Thank God my brother was transfered
from there.Hope you have a good visit.

The noise I can HAndle, the smell I cannot!My 14 yr old daughter will be with me.There will be no flashing!!!! I don't mind them doing there job, but when they go overboard the warden and the commisioner will hear about it!! It may not do any good,but the news paper's love stories like that! As long as they don't take it out on my hubby they want get by with it.My 19 yr old son will also be with me.

tee...the pic in my siggy was made at Red Eagle H.F. He isn't the one that was in Elmore though. I'm thinking he done some time in Staton before but, if so...it would have been back in 2001. :)

I was reading the posts and saw this one and wanted to reply.
My brother is at Elmore...he has been there for about 3 months now. Inmates get visiting days every other sunday from 7am-1 pm. Dress is about the same everywhere I think..nothing low cut or revealing..no short skirts...etc etc.
They have an inside sitting area which is always very crowded & noisey...they also have an outdoor area but u better get there early to get a table outside.
The CO's seem ok for the most part..there are a few that seem to have an attitude. I havent had to totally raise my shirt and bra...thank goodness i havent run into that particular CO.
