On Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays there is a 3 hour limit on visits
Segregation Visiting
If the inmate is in segregation, visiting hours are as follows:
Wednesday through Friday 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday 8:30 am - 11:30 am OR 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
All segregation visits are one hour only.
Other Visiting
TLU inmates: Three visits per week - with only one visit per weekend.
Adjustment Segregation inmates: one visit per week
Program Segregation: Step 1, 2 or 3 - one visit per week
Control or Observation: Requires HSU or clinical approval
SPECIAL HISTORICAL NOTES AND OTHER INSTITUTIONAL INFORMATION
OCI was originally opened as the Wisconsin School for Girls in June 1941. It is listed as a historical site in the State Historical Society Register. OCI also operates the Security Unit at UW Hospitals and Clinics. This is a maximum security 10 bed in-patient unit, where inmates for all Wisconsin correctional facilities are sent for specialized medical care.
