On Sept 26, 2004 my boyfriend of 8 1/2 years was sentenced to 4yrs 4 months. Before I had a chance to visit him once more in Sac county main jail they shipped him to RCCC...then before the scheduled Saturday visit they moved him to DVI in Tracy.
I've spent a lot of time over the last couple of weeks reading through this web site and absorbing a lot of information. You guys are lifesavers!! I'd hate to think of how frustrated I'd be by now with no clue of what was going on or what I could do for him. He's been there for 3 weeks now and I've gotten a couple of letters from him...He's hoping to get sent to New Folsom or Mule Creek. It seems to me like they go out of their way to send you somewhere as invonvenient as possible, so I told him to request Centinela and maybe through a little reverse psychology......who knows.
The one thing I do know is that I won't see his face again until he's released. Considering we were 2 of 4 co-defendants, I now have a recent felony conviction, I am on Formal Probation and also attempting to complete 60 days of Sheriff's Work Project. I think that meets almost all of their possible reasons to deny visits.
What I want to know is if it is possible for us to get married under those circumstances and if we were able to could they still deny me visits??
I remember reading some messages from other women in and around Sac w/their men in or just out of DVI....if you guys are still out there and ever actually get together for that cup of coffee let me know...
Thanks again to everyone!!
