Hes been at Grimes and Varner. The food there isnt that bad and the visitation is pretty good. The shake downs arent even shake downs. They dont have to get completely undressed after a visit. What do you want to know. I can tell you...my husband works in recieving and lives in 1 bks. juliwaits 09-24-2004, 07:58 AM Rose, if your husband is at Diagnostic because he is going from county to prison, then it's basically evaluation - there are no visits. It will give him an idea of what to expect at prison. I think they're at Diagnostic about 4 weeks. his_lil_sis 09-26-2004, 10:54 AM Hello, My brother was in Diagnostic's for 2 weeks when he was transfered from our county facility. There they evaluated him from his charges to his health.. I remember him calling us before he was sent there but couldn't speak to him until he was sent to home unit. The diagnostic's put all of their information into the ADC system after they are evaluated..they are placed according to their overall being, health, charges etc.... I hope this has helped and if I am wrong about any of this info someone please correct it as my memory is not what it used to be...LOL.. good luck to you and feel free to pm me if you want to talk..my brother is now in Tucker unit with six years to go.. :( Matthew's_Angel 09-28-2004, 11:36 PM Hey CrisNClay, Matthew did not work out at Pope County. They sent him back today.......with NO DISCPLINARY! I can't believe it. Well he called me this afternood and he said that within 20 minutes they had a bed for him and that he will stay at Diagnostic. I was so excited I forgot to ask what brks. He said something about it depends on what job they give him if he will be a 1B or a 1C. He is a 1B right now. I guess if he stays a 1B then his 1 year for furlough (then the 6 month put off date) will still be good. He said they have classification on Thursday so maybe he will know more then. I'll have to get back on that DOC website and look into this. He will be 4 1/2 drive (one way) from me, but I don't care! I am just tickled pink that, so far, he has not gotten into trouble. crisnclay 09-29-2004, 11:38 AM Hey girl!!! He is going into VUB (that is what barrks. he will go into). Maybe we can actually meet at one of the visits! We visit on Sundays. I go tomorrow and meet with the clemecny baord, wish me luck!!! Ill try and get on here tonight. Why did he not work out at Pope County??? Hey CrisNClay, Matthew did not work out at Pope County. They sent him back today.......with NO DISCPLINARY! I can't believe it. Matthew's_Angel 09-30-2004, 06:17 PM What is VUB? I thought he said that is were he will stay, but would he know that soon or will they send him somewhere else? When's visitation? Does he have to fill out a new visitation list? Pope county said that he was not adjusting well and that he would not do his work. That does not sound like him at all, but they put him in the kitchen and he HATES anything to do with cooking. crisnclay 10-01-2004, 07:10 AM VUB is just like a big wharehouse that has a lot of beds in it. That is what the call the 309 graveyard :) He should know by now if he is going to be staying there or not. If he is good and stays out of trouble then they will let him stay there. I am going to talk to Clayton tonight and Ill ask him if they will move him without him asking to be moved. The diagnostic unit is the best unit to be at. Nope, he wont have to fill out a new visitation list, his old one was transfered with him. Sorry about Pope county. What is VUB?
