From a Publication distributed at Cummins Prison, according to the Cummins’ Institutional Parole Officer (IPO).

If an inmate has no place to parole to, he/she can apply to be accepted at a Halfway house.

The inmate MUST write to one of the acceptable Halfway houses and have the letter of acceptance in his/her possession BEFORE he/she can submit it as his/her intended place of residence within the parole plan. The IPO will not accept a Halfway house as part of a parole plan without a letter of acceptance.

Below is a list of acceptable Halfway Houses. (I have not validated this information, and I do not know if it’s an all-inclusive list.)

Something to note in regards to halfway houses, an inmate buddy of my husbands, was paroled and tried to get into a halfway house, if they are an SO, they will usually be denied. I put together a list of houses in several states for this guy, he wrote to them all, he was accepted in several, until someone higher up notified the houses, he could not go there as he was an SO.

I think it's location that's getting them denied. SOs can't parole to anywhere within 2500 feet of a school or licensed daycare. I read that that rules out anywhere in little rock or benton.

There are no halfway house 2005. Sober living charges 1800.00 to get in 600.00 a month. I know for a fact.
