Just wondering what the difference in a prison and a work camp is. If anyone has any information on it or any other info that would be great. Thanks for being so wonderful. Thank you for your time:)

My husband went from the main unit to the work camp at his current camp so I can help you out. The major difference is that at the work camp the inmates have minimum or community as his/her security level - inmates also go out in the streets and work really hard (like for the Dept of Transportation) around the counties that they are housed by, but they dont get paid - they do get paid when they goto a work release center. But they get fed the same, have the same visits and phone privileges and wear the same clothes at both the main unit and work camp side. Hope this helps out!
