I would like to know what it is that ex-cons need most when they get out of whatever institution you or your loved one is in.
I did some time in Leavenworth and Lewisberg other than my own experiences. I know we all need help with jobs and stuff of that nature. But if you had input to give to the BOP or the DOC as far as what your aftercare should be and what you would need to make the adjustment back into society and be a successfull citizen. Any kind of positive response will be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM me or post it publically

Tim, Find a good support group. Family and friends that are close to you, who will help when things don't always go the way a person would expect. Jobs and or going to school is importaint but having people to help support you (mentally emotionally) that is what is importaint.

Sorry guys this is not for me I've been out for over a year and have made the adjustments that it took for me to be comfortable again. I want to know what it would take for others to be comfortable in todays society. I am wanting to help others by getting some sort of resources started. Whether it be a buddy system or what you would look for in a support group.What things are important to you when you get out.
