There is an airport in San Luis Obispo. If not you could fly to LAX and drive.

Visiting is Saturday and Sunday from 9AM to 3PM, They are hardley ever on lockdown so you have no problem with that. It is about a 3 hour drive from Los Angeles straight up the 101. If you need more info PM me and I will help, I visit there every weekend!

The airport code for the airport in San Luis Obispo is SBP. I've flown into that airport before and the major airlines that fly into San Luis Obispo, CA are American Airlines & United. The flights are pretty expensive since it is a very small airport.

Hey NJR102000, My Babe is also at CMC, and if you go directly to the SLO airport it's really expensive not mention most of the times their flights stop into LAX anyways, So if you like I live in the LBC which is about 30 mins away from the airport, so if you like PM me and we can get someting arranged to make it out there. Anything I can do to help is great.

San Luis Obispo County Airport is located at the south side of the city on
Broad St. If you call a travel agent you can get some pretty damn good
deals on flights from LAX to SLO. I know that one for sure, I was born and
raised in San Luis Obispo, and my husband Eric used to be on Camp at CMC.

:confused: My brother has been in CMC for a little over 11 years. I haven't seen him since he went in. I know that sounds so bad but I'm so heart-broken over him being there. When he calls till this day I never can talk I only cry and listen to him speaking to me. I'm truly ashamed. I'm planning to go in April of this year w/my 4 children. So if anyone can direct me PLEASE respond. Thanks in advanced:)

Hello there, I used to live in Moreno Valley. The address to the prison is 1 Colony Drive. Coming from your area to CMC these directions would be easiest:

215 North to 60 west to 15 north (or the 60 to the 71 north in Pomona) to the 210 west connect to 134 west to 101 North. Take 101 all the way to San Luis Obispo and exit at Morro Bay/ Hwy 1 exit (go under the bridge) when exiting the freeway follow the curve to the right, make a quick right at the first corner and another right onto Santa Rosa (the light). Take Santa Rosa over the mountain and down to Colony Drive (the entrance to the prison). Make a right onto Colony Dr and if you arrive early enough to get a number make a left at the first corner and go to the stop sign which is where everyone lines up until 7:30am when the guard starts passing out the numbers.

As an alternate or if you are not familiar with the 210 you can take the 10 or 60 west into downtown Los Angeles then connect to 101 north, but due to traffic and construction I recommend the 210 for easier travel times. Good luck and enjoy your visit.
