help anyone have info on visiting in new folsom my brother was recently moved here also if you know about how long of a drive leaving from san bernardino county,and any cheap but decent motels near the prison any info you can give would be greatly appreciated thanks:)

It's about a 7-8 hour drive from SB. I would drive there from LA and it would take 6 1/2 - 7 hours. You can stay at the Inns of America 12249 Folsom Blvd. Rancho Cordova. Ca 95742 (916) 351-1213 They have a Visitor rate of $52 a night and there is a pool and a free breakfast. Also, you can ask for a room with a frig and a microwave. The motel is off of HWY 50 at the Hazel Ave. exit. It's clean and safe. Though, it does tend to get pretty loud at night in the summer. If you need to sleep, ask for a room on the third floor. LOL
