Hi Everyone !

New to the board...my husband was just moved to Easterling from Kilby and I visit next weekend. Can any tell me what visitation is like there and will i be able to at least kiss him?

My son was at Easterling for a short while before being transferred to Ventress. I never did go visit there. I know it is a very strict prison. There are some very good people on here with someone at Easterling. I am sure they will come along shortly with some advice.

Visitation at Easterling is pretty much like most of the rest, except there's no outdoor time, everyone stays in the break room area. It's pretty laid back. You can do the usual kiss at the beginning and end of the visit like most places. Supposed to be from 7:30 to 1:30 but they start running people out shortly after 1...

Have you been to visit at Easterling yet? I'm going in a few weeks, first time I've been since early May...

Ok I have been to see my husband. The visit was nice just wish we had been able to go outside. You sit in this cafateria room for the entire 5 hours.

Well, unless they've changed anything in the last six months, it rotates by first letter of the name and visiting weekends are two weeks apart. Unless the schedule's changed a bunch, inmates with last names starting with M have visits the 2nd and 4th weekend of every month, and on Saturday one of those weekends and Sunday the next. You get the idea. You should probably have the inmate mail you a copy of the visitation schedule for 2006, or you can call down there and find out when the next one for your inmate is and get a copy of the schedule while down there....
