I went to visit my friend at collins today. I will say for a prison it was very nice. The co's were nice, very respectful. I Need some advice for him. I know alot of prisoners have talked to him including myself. He has tried to commit suicide once.
He feels his life is over. Kept telling me he isn't going to make it. Alot of it is he isn't home for his kids and his ex dosen't want to be with him. His sentence is 1 1/2 to 3 years. He did say he could use medication (anti depressants) can he get them without telling someone he wants to kill himself. he dosn't want to be locked up again so hes afraid to tell anyone there that can help him. How would you go about getting anti depressants without saying you want to commit suicide? I don't understand why they didn't put him on them after he attempted too before. He was at elmira reception when he did try is this why they didn't do anything but lock him down? I tried hard to to give him encouragement, but he is so emotionaly empty.
