An appeal has to be filed within a certain number of months from the conviction date, it would depend on the state of conviction. I would suspect the answer for your states law on appeals deadlines are on the states law web site. Most states have these laws online now for all to read. For example, my states law is like 21 days to file (or at least file an intent to file appeal letter).

Although your time has passed for an appeal. There are 2 avenues possible for relief. One is a Petition for Habeas Corpus and the second is a Petition for POst-Conviction relief
