I am new..this is my first post. My boyfriend just got sent to Nottoway work center in Va. I have not heard from him and wondered if anyone knowes anything about this place. When he got there 2 weeks ago, he was taken from the work center to the prison because they told him he showed up positive for PCP on his urine screen. It turned out to be a false positive and I was told by someone on duty they he would be taken out of the hole and moved back to the work center. This was last week and I've still not hear anything. I don't know how to find out anything else. I would appreciate if anyone has any suggestions.

dudley, va is well known for failed drug test my son also was told he failed a drug test. he was moved to a levle 4 from level 1. he was not allowed to call for i believe 21 days. i know nothing about nottoway but im sure someone will come along to help. hang in there. i forgot welcome to pto.

Welcome to Pto. My son is at Greensville. He says alot of guys are coming up positive on urine screens there and they are getting charges. Could there be something wrong with the screens?

I know that something is wrong with the test Chris says that he did not do drugs and I know he would not lie. They sent 7 inmates to Keene Mtn from one facality because of drug testing. When this happened to Chris I called the warden the DOC and they told me nothing could be done. I read up on drug testing and they can give a test postive often depending on the test given.I also talked to a local deputy and he told me they recieved a shipment of bad test so Yes it can happen. I wish something could be done to stop this because of this Chris was put in the hole for 21 days, phone taken for 3 weeks moved from level 1 to level 4 facilty and is now classified level 2. and visititation taken for 3 months and now we only have onocontact visits until oct21. Seems like a lot of different pinishment for one incident. I know alot of people dont understand why this upsets me so much but i know he is innocent of this charge. when he was convicted of his orginal crime I took it better than this because I knew he was guilty but I know he isnt guilt this time. He never lied to me and I dont think him being in prison is going to change this. We are helpless to the DOC so what do we do?

I would suggest writing Gene Johnson the head of DOC. Tell him your concerns and hopefully, he would look into it.

I HAVE HEARD MANY STORIES ON THE VENTURES TO THE "HOLE" IT'S NOT A NICE THING....BUT IF YOUR BOYFRIEND IS BACK IN THE WORK PLACE HE'S DOING OK...HE MIGHT HAVE TO WAIT FOR MONEY OR A SHOPPING DAY(THEY CAN ONLY GO BUY THINGS LIKE TOLIET PAPER CIGGS STAMPS SOAP AND LOTS OF OTHER THINGS TWICE A MONTH OR MAYBE ONCE) TO WRITE TO YOU OR CALL YOU....HOW LONG HAS UR BF BEEN IN NOTTOWAY CAUSE I NEED INFO ON SOMEONE THERE HIT ME BACK....ADRIANNE

In my experience, nottoway is like that. It's a maximum facility...which they are trying to take it down a level this year...but once you get into the hole...its normally awhile before you hear anything. Hang in there!
