Ok Ive finally been approved to visit my fiance and I am hoping to get some information about what to wear and what not to wear. Can someone tell me any information about the visiting procedure at Avenal Prison? Any information will help. :D :D

Congrats on getting approved and your first visit.

Not familiar with Avenal but I'll post general info for all facilities.
It's best to just wear some loose fitting black pants and a printed T shirt, no underwire bras and no belly flesh showing. If you can lift your arms and see the midrift they will make you change. After your first visit take note of what others are wearing and go with those examples. That's what I did and on my last visit I was able to wear some beige shorts and a printed t-shirt and not one gaurd made notice. Anyway you'll get to know the ropes, here's the CDC link on visiting and for Avenal. Oh Also if your man's in reception you have to make an appointment one week in advance, if he's GP you can just show up.

All I can say is if you do not have an appointment get there early. They take a long time to get non appointments in. Good luck and enjoy your visit.

Appointments for Avenal are 2 weeks in advance. You can only visit on weekends. You should get there like half and hour before your appointment because they take 22 in every 15 minutes. If you have a morning appointment you have until 3:00 unless they over book. If they do, then they might cut your visit short.
