Hello :)
Just curious if anyone has gotten mail from San Quentin lately ? Or if they've noticed a serious delay in the mail ? Or if there is a lockdown ? Or has recently been a lockdown ?
I'm going out of my mind...I've worn a hole in my carpet from doing the mail dance. It's totally out of character...I have never gone more than a week without hearing something...and it's been over three !! Soooo...now I'm just worried. :(
thank

I've received mail every day and haven't noticed a delay in getting anything...received a couple of letters on Saturday. I live out of state and it takes 3-4 days. Hang in there...there are times when you get a stack all at once and they'll be postmarked different days.

Well the mystery is solved...the mail room at SQ is really backed up...even though i write about 4 letters a week...he hadn't gotten anything in a few weeks....
UGH!!!! Darn mail room....but then again I'm just so elated that everything is okay I won't be mad for long :)

Gotta remember that there are only maybe a handful of people working the mail room,
and we just had a holiday again, Sept 6th, and that can push the mail backwards for
weeks, as far as your husband's b/f or friends getting mail.

It was the first time I went without mail for such a long time :( ...and I knew in my gut something was up. I know that there are times when some guys don't write cause they have too much on their mind, or don't have stamps/envelopes etc...and that there are mail room delays *serious understatement*...A whole slew of possible reasons for no mail....and all good ones.
Everyone's situation is different....I wanted to exhaust all the possiblities...as I had ruled out the "normal" reasons for no mail. :) And I know my guy...and the lack of mail was not in his character...I know I over reacted now *giggle* But a total sense of panic kicked in *sigh*
I got a letter today...and I got my answer :) Just as I suspected something was up...and luckily not as serious as my imagination made it out to be !!!
I figure if I can't over react and vent here...where can I
Thanks all for listening :D

i get mail from there every other day. now i know that it can take up to 2 weeks for the inmate to get his mail once it arrives at the prison, so him not getting your mail could be a reason why its taking so long for you to hear from him.....just a suggestion of mine....
but as far as i know there are no lockdowns, so hopefully you should be hearing from your man real soon....
