I want to visit my friend in Florence Arizona. I come from abroad and I need a place to sleep during the four days visits I got with him. This place has to be in Florence or near by and to be very cheap. In the internet I couldn't find any!
So can anybody help me?

Hi

The only place I know is The Blue Mist Motel......it isnt very cheap!!! Approx $65 per night. If you can drive there are other cheaper motels within a 30 mile radius. I know because like you I am visiting from overseas for the first time and I've been searching on the internet too :) If anyone else can help us find something else I'd be very grateful:thumbsup:
Also the Blue Mist does organise transport to the prison for those of us without transport. When are you planning to visit? I hope to go in November. Good Luck with your trip.

I don't know if you would be interested, but I live about 20 miles from Florence, and I have a big house, If you can't find any other places, maybe we could work something out. I know this probably sounds weird offering my house and all, but I know how it is, my husband is all the way in Douglas and It's very hard. So if you would like to talk to me about it you can PM me...Michelle

Hello there,
that sounds too nice from you.
My name is Sabine. I am 41 and lie with my family in Germany.I will arrive in Phoenix on january the 4th. I come from Texas then. There I also stay with friends.
I have visits in Florence from the 7th to the 10th and the other weekend after that. We got two special visits.
So your husband is in a prison too?
How long ?
I really would appreciate to maybe stay with you. Best would be we email a bit before and talk on the phone. I'd call you.
If you give me you email adress I could email you a pic - so you had an idea who would come... grin...
And if I won't scare you off... we will see... hahaha... I am just impressed how many nice people I met on the internet.

I am in Texas and hope to visit a friend on the row in Florence in October or November. I live on SSI and the bus fare alone will set me back alot. I could use some advice or a helping hand on a room and ride to the prison, if anyone figures it out.I am not sure I can handle $65 a night, but I will try if I have too. If anyone from Texas travels to Arizona I would really be interested in seeing if we could share expenses.

have you looked into disability fares from greyhound? I think those are cheaper. You should find out about that. also try to find a number in florence or look in the yellow pages and call about hotels and motels

Hi Ladies ...

I live just west of Florence .. in Coolidge which is 10 miles away. Neither community has a "hotel" but there are a couple motels ... and Casa Grande is 20 miles further west from here...

Coolidge has two ..
Grande Vista Motel 520-723-7793

Moonlight Motel 520-723-3475

we are a small rural community and may be cheaper than the Blue Mist Motel in Florence ... that motel is right across the street from the prison and they make damn good use of their advantage!

Blue Mist Motel 520-868-5875

Unfortunately because of my job ... my schedule changes frequently so I never know more than a couple months at a time whether I'll be home or on the road.

Casa Grande has alot more options.. but is 30 miles west from Florence.
Super 8
Holiday Inn
Best Western

I hope this information helps .... if you call and reserve a room far enough in advance .. you may be able to get a good deal from one of the local small motels. They are not the "Holiday Inn" but are clean and in safe nieghborhoods.

Any where in this area is going to be cheaper than driving to & from Mesa, Tempe, Phoenix .. and I promise the hotels/motels there are just as expensive. Try and plan on staying in this area ... less travel, less gas, less expense.

Good Luck.
