Hey. My name is Melissa. My fiance' just left on Monday to do 32 months in FCI Beaumont. We've been dealing with state for a couple of years, but this Federal thing is completely new to both of us. I think I'm just looking for moral support and insight :)

Welcome to PTO!
Federal is completely different, however the pain of being separated is still all the same! You will find plenty of support here and we also have some information on FCI Beaumont. Is he in the med or low?

He's in the medium. Everyone keeps saying that Federal is a lot different from state. He did a little over 2 years in Booneville, MO and everyone calls that "gladiator school" and that if he made it there without a problem then he should be ok in federal. Hopefully I'll hear from him by Friday to see how he's holding up :)

There is a good bit of information on the Med floating around here. You can do a search on "FCI Beaumont" and it should pull up a good amount.

Here is one link I know Fed-X spoke alittle about it. Infact, I believe it was then he told me the USP was considered a "Gladiator School", maybe...it's been a couple years since that thread was started! Geez...I'm feeling old!
