I was wondering if anyone has had to deal with Denton County? I have my fiance was shipped off from Denton County jail and sent to TDCJ in April of this year.

I have had to deal with Denton County more than I would have ever liked too. I am sure your expierence was just as "delightful" ha ha ha.

My baby was shipped out of Denton County on June 10th. Such a wonderful place. Not.

Crazy state of thier own rules like no other! girl the horror stories of that county and cooke is crazy too!

I would not wish Denton County to my worse enemy, I spent 6 month there and my hubby spent about 8 months there before he caught chain.

I HATE DENTON COUNTY!!! I have called them "the state of denton county" for about 14 years now, they do what they want and whatever they want, it dont matter what the law is. Sorry for ya. I have been there myself and yes it sucked! My luck to you with your expierence from here on out, hope it goes as well as it can go and as fast as it can for ya.
I just had my new worst enemy arrested by Denton County, he raped my daughter and now he gets to deal with "the great state of denton county", he better get some deep pockets fast!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

My husband got 6 yrs from Denton County on 8-13-04 and was shipped to Gurney Unit on 9-23-04 were he still lives. (Revoked Probation-----6yrs!!!)
I no longer pay Denton County Taxes, I sold our house and business. I packed up and moved I would suggest everyone do the same if you live there!! TOUGH county to deal with.

I spent about 3 months in Denton County, as a trustee so it wasn't quite as bad, but still bad. I also had the good fortune of catching the chain with a few of my bunk mates and being assigned to the same dorm at Gurney as they were, so my 19 year old scared butt didn't have to deal with a lot of the anxiety one might have to upon entering TDCJ. My time at Denton County wasn't that bad, I wouldn't have wanted to be in general population though. I'm not too fond of the Denton County court system, but the jail wasn't too bad, not to mention an old high school friend was one of the guards and that caught me a little slack I think. I spent most of my time watching TV, playing cards, reading, and smoking.
