My daughter was transfered from the Hilltop Unit to the Lane Murray Unit. Its still the same prison system, but the rules are all so differant, does each unit have differant rules? Such as at Hilltop you had to wear you shirt tucked in, opposite of LMU, also at Hilltop you could wear you hair in a pony tail, opposite of LMU. My daughter was telling me that at the Hilltop Unit, you would easily get written up for minor offences, she got a major offence for having tums out of the wrapper, which was listed as "uncontrolled substance." Then she got another major one when she dozed off sitting down waiting for clothes to come through, which was listed as "refusing to work." She lost her line, was put into medium security and had to wear a red band while at Hilltop. Zap went the contact visists, we cant have one until May, but thats okay I still go see her 2 a month. Now at LMU, she doesnt have to wear a red band, so differant, but yet the same placed? I have a question for you, does she have to wait a year from the time she got her major charge in order to get her line back? Also, she tells me she gets to go back into general population, no one to ask she tells me. Thanks for your help, I plan on learning all I can so I can help with her parole in 2/08. Which if I could ask you some more information on that later, I am trying to understand the parole decision matrix system, I think I have it down, but there are still some vague areas I would like to know.
