Hope everyone Holiday was a good one.

I just checked the DOC site and Hubby was transferred to Stringtown.
It is a lot closer than Lawton and want to vist in a couple weeks.
Is there anyone who can tell me about Stringtown? Visits, money, etc....

Yes, I know someone will be along, hope its soon. I just looked at the DOC page last night. And then a few minutes ago to check to to see if the year had changed for his release. It changed alright, and then I noticed that his address had changed also.

I did read a past post that Springtown was a better one of the prisons in Oklahoma.
I hope so.

Wannamae, which side of the fence is he on? I visited there about a year ago, for about a year, and on min. side it was pretty good. That was visiting, you can take 20.00 in but if you break your change up then they don't count it. It may have changed in year. They ain't to picky about things. Now the inmates say the food is no good, and there is no air cond. there. It is really run down that is up in the prison. You can pm me if you have any questions in particular.

Wanna She covered min I can cover Medium that was the place Terry was moved to first you can take in 20.00 in change and your id NOTHING else. Like all you get one kiss amd hug at begining and one at end like she said if you break the change up they dont count it Oh yeah you can bring in a deck of card in a clear bag not in the box. It has the standard vending machine fair and photo opps you have a small outside area to visit in and the guards when we were there watched things pretty close you can sit or walk with your arms around each other shoulders but they get edgy about any hands beneath the table or anything even if it isnt any thing. If you take the kids be careful when outside you are not supposed to get with in 5 feet of the fences. You will be behind the wire and be searched also when you go in make sure you know your tag number and your pockets are empty. If you dont have a clear purse invest in one or take a zipock for the change and stuff.

I called about visiting and have to call when the day shift is on to talk with the case manager to see where he is at. Level and how many hours I can stay. Hopefully I can maybe make a weekend out of it.

Ok, I called today and found that my Hubby is Level 4, 8 hrs visiting,and is in the "MSU" Unit. I can guess that is medium?? So Mommahen, tell me more.

Oh yea, I called yesterday first and was told about the level 4. But was told to call back and speak with the person who is in charge of the visiting. So this morning I called and he asked for James name. I told him and started to give him the DOC #. Well this guy comes back and says James is level 1 and one hour visiting and no contact!!
So I butt in and tell this guy that when I called yesterday I was toald level 4. So I gave him the DOC#. And sure enough my James is Level 4.

Thats the highest level correct?
And since I live out of state I asked if I would have to do the visiting forms again and he said yes. I told him I had planned and completed and was approved for when Hubby was at Lawton but never got a chance to get down there.
He says that he has 30 days and I could visit but needed to refile the visiting form. So I will be going next weekend I believe. Its $$ stuff now. Have to change the oil in car and have it checked out. but I think it will do alright.
I think I want to visit 4hrs Sat & then 4hrs Sun. But we will see.
