my ex wrote me this summer and told me that he was moved to a new building...so his address changed. i lost the stupid letter and now dont have his current address...if i called or emailed the facility with his ID number and old address would they give it to me? im scared haha

Check the states DOC website. Some states post it on there...

If you go where he was, you can sometimes do an online search with the DOC. But if he is in a State that doesn't have a online search most of the time they will give you the information on how to locate an offender in their Satte.

they have an inmate locator..it only gives you the facility...not his specific address...i have to know like his bed and building number too...it sucks

Sounds like you got all kinds of good advice. I would do whatever is easiest ... if it's easier to call then call. I know the address on the BOP website is for prison mail not for inmate mail. If you send it there it will get there just slower.
