View Full Version : Alabama Prison Handbook vlcoffman 05-19-2004, 02:57 AM Here is a link so you can read the Alabama prison hand book . vicki http://www.patrickcrusade.org/Alabama_Inmate_Handbook.html Care9 05-19-2004, 06:36 AM ragland, Thanks for posting this link. It's not like there is anything new to read in the booklet but you know, it sadly just brings it all so much closer when you realize how much better it COULD be if the rules and regs in that book were really followed! I also went to the PATRICK crusade link and got lost there reading reading reading reading. I sometimes feel like I live in such a small world consumed with the details of my own things and when I step outside of it and read about what others are involved with and the good that is being done by the dedicated ones, I have two distinct reactions. The first one is guilt that I don't do that much ~~ although I do remind myself that I am walking MY own path and being truthful to my OWN journey and probably (hopefully!) contribute in ways that I might not realize. The second immediate reaction is that although all of our details differ in so many ways, the common thread we have that binds us together SHOULD be open hearts and open minds that allow us to be non-judge mental. Not just in this area of incarceration but in all areas of our lives. Not that I am thankful for being part of the IN Crowd (lol) but I do know that because of it, I am a better person because the very things that cause me to grind my teeth also motivates me to make the world a better place to be in whatever ways I can do that, small or large. It helps me to be thankful for the small things because inevitable I look back and see that they weren't small at all; they were huge in the bigger picture. Pretty early in the day for me to be 'waxing philosophical' but I didn't even know I had these thoughts just waiting to get out, lol. Thanks again for taking the time to post the link. I guess you just never know when you OHMYGOSH, I gotta go make my son's lunch before the bus gets here. Arghghghghghg where did the time go. love Care Doeadearr 05-19-2004, 07:39 AM Vlcoffman thank you so very much for posting this handbook!! I appreciate that you took the time to put it up there for the rest of us to see. That was very thoughtful of you. My son is in an Alabama prison and I am constantly trying to stay on top of the health issues etc that they have. Thank you so much for thinking of the rest of us!
