My pen pal just got moved to the Atlanta Transitional Center for Women. She's not on work release, but she's there working at the Center. Can anyone tell me about this place, and how it is different from Pulaski.

Transitional centers are used specifically to prepare inmates who are approaching parole or release after. Its purpose is to teach them work and communication (people) skills. It's not like an actual prison, most have open dormatories.
