Has anyone tried this? Is it hard to follow. I am considering it. I am a Chef so I have access to all foods. You would think That I would diet right but to tell you the truth i forget to eat a whole day at times. I am the type of person that follows a plan better than if I would do it on my own.

Or have you tried another plan similar to WW that has worked. I did atkins for 14 days and lost 11 pounds but it's too much MEAt for my taste

I know lots of people who have lost on WW. Their weekly meetings annoyed me more than anything. They're costly. At the first visit you receive all the info that you need (how many points equal what, etc) and they tell you what to do. Good luck!

Since christmas she weighed about 180 now she weighs 120 (shes about 5'3'') she lokos great, she also goes to the gym too along with weight eatchers. My mom was on it when iw as younger and lost lots of weight, but she got off it and gained it back.

I've never joined the WW program, but I do have dozens of their cookbooks, and love their recipes. I'm not one to be a "joiner", or go to meetings....I also find I see better results when I am on my own, and can focus on my plan.

Anything that makes losing weight a "chore", is something to be avoided, IMO. I keep a simple journal of what I eat every day, and after years of counting calories and fat grams, I rarely have to look anything up for content anymore. The idea of "points", and "categories" is a turnoff to me....sounds like schoolwork, LOL!

The $$$ is another consideration; there's nothing more frustrating than laying out money for a program you may not like. Of course, we can give opinions all day here, but you'll really never know if it's "for you" unless you check it out.

If you decide to try it, please be sure and post the info here, in case any other members are considering joining! Thanks

What about www.ediets.com (http://www.ediets.com) ??? They are a lot cheaper, way cheaper, and you have way more offered to you there then you do at WW! They personally develop an eating plan with you, an exercise plan, go over your goals, track your success, 24 hour support, the whole 9 yards! At least look at their website and tell me what you think!

PS. and no, I don't work for ediets if it sounds like I do. lol

did the WW. I was losing the weight but it was too expensive for my budget to go to the weekly meetings. I tried to do it without the meetings, but it does help more with the support. As Susan said you just need to find your nich and you might like it you might not. Good Luck

I went to WW too.. since the new point system.. it annoyed the S**T out of me!! All those counting and calculating points, having to come up with the perfect meal that also had the ideal amount of points (so that i didn't use them up in one meal and a snack and be left to suffer the rest of the day with no points left) obsessing over maximizing my point usage (good size meal that are low in points).. i ended up being point crazy and my friends were like "STOP IT ALREADY!! Enough with the obsessing over the points!! This isn't healthy Jessica!".. so i left.

It does work though, if you are dedicated and like having to pre-plan, find all the point equivelencies in the books, calculate, change your mind, re-plan, re-calculate and constantly wonder if you should waste your points on a certain thing..

I really wanted it to work and found myself out of points one day, starving, and going to bed at like 9:00 p.m. so that i could stop thinking about how hungry i was, how much i didn't want to use flex points - or already had (you are alotted like 25 extra points to use for whatever - per week) and how if i went to bed i could wake up and eat again..

To much time and effort for me.. but it does work..

I lost 17 lbs on WW and I am still on it and still losing. For me I lose about 1 lb a week but that's ok. I will keep it off longer that way!

I lost 100+ lbs on WW. I love the program. I think that part of its success is that it teaches you the importance of portion control and it does not restrict what you can and can not eat. I love it!!!

You go girl, Yes I've joined WW off & on. The last time was on my job. Which was nice. I would like to get back motivated before winter sets in and I stray down a path of unhealthy eating. But I've always been successful with weight watchers. I think having a variety of food choices is the key. It's a life change, not just a diet. Excercise is a must for me too!
