I thought this might be helpful to someone. This is a Christian facility that is free. It is in Lenoir, NC up in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It's supposed to have a higher success rate than the traditional state-paid drug and alcohol rehabs. It's requirement to stay 60 days, longer if needed.
They teach Bible principles, and deliverance from addiction through Jesus Christ. This program is like the last resort after all else has failed. It's for guys only.
My son was there in 2001, he turned his addiction over to God, was saved, baptized, and was planning to live there and do the electrical maintanence for Bethel Colony (BTW, when not "using" my son is a Journeyman Electrician).
One of the students went home for breif X-Mas visit, came back with a bottle of Xanax...he and my son and one other guy re-lapsed and got kicked out. They don't give them a second chance...if they test positve at any random test...their ass is outta there.
It runs off donations from some very wealthy residents who live in the area, and donations of food and other supplies from businesses. Those guys have anything they want to eat. Sometimes the whole group goes to eat-out at one of the Steak-Houses. They have large freezers loaded down with enough food to feed an army. The families were invited to eat X-Mas dinner and some of it was cooked there, some was catered in from restaurants and churches.
You have to call there and apply for admission,. they usually have a 4-6 weeks waiting list. They require a recent HIV Test and TB test, in the last 3 months I believe. In case anybody is interested here's the address and phone number: Remember, it's FREE! You do however have to furnish your own transpotation to the place.....

When my son is released from jail, he might go back there...they already told him he can come back. Some of the students stay on there and become counsellors and teach the word of God....and just live there long as they like.
Hope this helps someone.
