Does anyone know if when the inmate gets ready to transfer they cut off all contact for 10 days no visits no letters?

I think it took about 9 days for my husbands transfer, but I think he still recieved my letters. I was not allowed to visit. Redbell

My husband transferred within a day - no interruption in visits or mail whatsoever.

I know a few people that just got transferred from Wasco and they can still write letters and recieve mail. I went to visit one of them 3 days before he was transferred.

Do you know where he's going?

I was wondering does anyone now how long it takes for them to be transfered? Someone told me that it can be 60 days. I was told that I wouldnt be able to see him until he was mainlined that there is no visiting until he is in the prison they are sending him.

Visits in Reception are 1 hour behind glass. They try to get them through Reception in 60-90 days. I say try. Sometimes it is faster, sometimes slower.

Thank you for replying. 60 to 90 days seems so long. Can they not get any calls out during that time? I mean 90 days seems so long for us to not talk. I hope that they at least let him call soon. This is driving me nutts.

No phones in Reception unless it is an emergency (death in the family, etc.) then it is arranged through the Counselor.
