The CORRECT ADDRESS for the Women's facility in Newport is:

I know there are two correctional facilities on that road, one is the Grimes Unit but that one is all men. The one with the women is the McPherson unit. Hope this answers your query.

If they are class 4 you can visit every second and fouth Saturdays of the month from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
Class 1 visits are every Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.:)

Yes children can visit also.
From what my boyfriend says its not that great of a place, but they say Brickey is worse.

i have collected alot of links to them & about them --saved them somewhere
which wackenhut was with the cia for alot of years - that was deeply involved in some sort of illegal arms deals w/ iran or iraq ...?

Wackenhut doesn't have Mc pearson nor Grimes ADC does now. They couldn't comple with state reg. When my son was there when wackenhut had it I fought for ADC to introceed it was crazy, but visitation was the nicest of all places. After ADC took it inmates had more rights but stricter visit.
