I am going to WSP tomorrow to visit a friend from ELEMENTARY school who got into some trouble last year for meth. I happened to find out about it in the paper so I wrote her to encourage her when she was in county. We have stayed in touch. Any way, my "special visit" got approved and I called today just to confirm it and they said they couldn't confirm it until 9 in the morning! So now I am driving over 2 hours and won't know for sure I am onthe list until I get there. She called and told me it was approved but I am just paranoid b/c I have heard horror stories. It is a bit frustrating!

Also, I haven't sat face to face and actually talked to her in YEARS. We took different roads after 6th grade and I am a little nervous. I am seeing it as an opportunity to minister. I will appreciate prayers as I make the trip and the visit.

I admire the fact that although you havent seen this woman since 6th grade, that you are taking the initiative and going to see her...what a true friend you are! Drive safe and my prayers are definitely with you for a successful visit. And you are right, what a great opportunity to minister!

wow, that is very nice of you! You really stepped up when you saw her story in the paper and I admire that! I don't know if I'd do the same after that many years, I guess it would depend on how close of a friend she was back then. Anyway, I really hope your are on the list and that the visit goes well.
