My daughter and I went to Wendy's yesterday for lunch and had our free junior Frosty for dessert. I think it's so sad what some people will do to try to make a buck. I've been following this episode of attempted extortion on the net and I am personally offended at the people who perpetrated this scheme.
Dave Thomas, founder of Wendy's, who died a while back, was a good man and did many wonderful things for the children of Florida. He, himself, was adopted so he promoted adoption in the state of Florida in many ways, to include financially, and was one of the promoters of the system that attempts to track all of the cases of children who are, in one way or another, in a dependent status. To me, this latest episode was a attempted blight on his good name and his legacy, and I hope that all people who care about the things that he cared about will promote Wendy's in the future and not let a few sorry souls drive them away from a good thing.

I think Dave Thomas seemed like a super nice guy. :thumbsup: And the Wendy's name has been cleared because "Police say the finger that a woman found in a bowl of chili came from an associate of her husband's who lost the digit in an industrial accident." and authorities have "positively confirmed that this subject was in fact the source of the fingertip." She won't get away with what she's done and people will now know Wendy's wasn't at fault.

if you check out the websites for surveys and stuff, I know that they are highly geared for smokers... it's a pain in the a but you can get major discounts on smokes like camel. go out there and investigate... it's well worth it :)
