The pushed his parole hearring date back to October 27th, does anyone know why?
And thanks to everyone for their support, and could yall please keep him in yall's prayer, because I really need him home, I had our first child 6/29/04, a boy who's now 12 weeks old, he's never even seen him, no more than a picture, and I've been wanting to take down there but the weather's been so bad, and my baby's been sick, keep in mind he's all the way at Fountain in Atmore, AL right outside Mobile, and I'm in Memphis, TN. So if you all would keep us in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. Hopefullu he gets parole because his crime wasn't violent at all, forgery, he did time about 2 in a half years ago in cullman, and hasn't gotten in any trouble since, hejust owes on his restituton fees, and missed court.

Welcome to PTO and the Alabama forum, Mysse. I too am in Memphis :) and my boyfriend is incarcerated in Alabama as well, currently at Easterling - 8+ hours away - we are hoping he will be able to return to Limestone, near Huntsville, where he was previously soon.

I couldn't guess as to why they postponed his hearing date other than to say there's rarely any rhyme or reason to anything the Board does. :(

Wishing you luck and prayers for when it comes up, and hope you'll stick around and hang out with us in the Alabama forum for a while. :)

Off topic for a sec, but that's OK... So what part of town are you in? I'm almost in Midtown but not quite, over closer to the University (actually the Liberty Bowl's almost in my back yard)...

My guy was one of the 2300 that got sent to Mississippi temporarily last year (down near Clarksdale) so I was probably about the only person dealing with the ADOC that was happy about that. :) Then when they moved him back they sent him 8 instead of 4 hours away. :(
