View Full Version : Lipstick Kisses
ozziegirl 08-26-2004, 08:18 PM I always put lipstick kisses on my letters and seal the envelope with a kiss. I havent had letters returned because of it but just wondering if anyone has had any problems with doing that as we are still only dealing with county jail. I hope Im still going to be able to send my baby lipstick kisses when he goes to DOC :(
krisintx 08-26-2004, 08:42 PM I have sent lipstick kisses as well. It might be up to each facility and how strict they are. My husband loves them as well.

1sassysistah 08-27-2004, 06:07 AM I have not tried that yet, but it is something to think about!
BillnDenise 08-27-2004, 03:18 PM Yeah, I do it all the time...they're never returned...I just make sure that once I do it, I lay a piece of paper on top and press down a little to get the excess off...it helps to keep it from smearing. I also spray a little perfume on the lovey-dovey letters. He sleeps with those.
rays_babygirl 08-27-2004, 03:42 PM Ray is in prison and I do it all the time. You shouldn't have a problem with it.
lovespell 08-27-2004, 03:47 PM My husband is in Prison also and I have never had a problem with it, you shouldn't either!
Tulip 08-27-2004, 04:33 PM I've been told I cannot do that as lipstick is a 'foreign substance'.
HotLatinaMILF4U 08-27-2004, 04:50 PM I know when I "KISS" my man's mail he gets it without any problem. It may depend on the individual facility and who's in the mail room on a given day...
Kiss Away I say,
Patty
I always put lipstick kisses on my letters and we have never had any problems with it.
I have sealed with a kiss :D
He got it to, said it was all smudged though.
irisheyes66 08-28-2004, 06:23 PM It definitely varies from one facility to another.
My guy is in the Kansas DOC...when he was at El Dorado, a Max prison, I could send just about anything and the mail would go through. Several times I kissed the letter, envelope, etc.
Since he was transferred to Larned, though, I tried sending a "kiss", and the letter was promptly returned to me, with the word "CONTRABAND" in huge black letters. There was a tiny list of reasons, and "No lipstick/perfume allowed" was checked off.
Larned is a mental health facility, so that may be part of the problem. They are a lot stricter on what can be sent in. Oddly enough, I spray perfume on every letter, and none have ever been sent back until I put the "kiss" on the envelope that time.
Marion 08-30-2004, 11:32 AM It isn't allowed in Oklahoma State Prison either! :(
Rider4Life 08-30-2004, 12:14 PM Tried it when my man was in Solono County Jail in Ca. and it was returned... So now I just draw a circle or a heart, and tell him to kiss "here" because I did. He thinks it's cute...
IceBlueSparkle 08-30-2004, 02:37 PM I also send lipstick kisses to my boy at San Quentin. I've never had mail returned. I've even managed to send him a lock of my hair or dried flower no problem....I think I got lucky those times. I've become quite inventful. Like the occasional naughty photo...I'll print out the photo onto paper in the body of my letter and cover it up with scotch tape. Then put a sticker over top of it....so the letter looks like it's got a big sticker in it. Because of the scotch tape the sticker can be peeled off no problem.
SandC4E 08-30-2004, 03:18 PM I definitely do this on EVERY single letter. When Christopher was in SEG he saved them all up and made a card and returned it was the following: Know that your kisses reach my lips every day, I'm sending them back after they have touched my heart, to strengthen your soul.
I love him so very much - he's the best. I'll use a thousand tubes of lipstick to kiss all of his letters.
Take care,
Sheila
Natosha 09-03-2004, 01:13 AM I send my Fiance lipstick kisses and it has never been a problem. He says that when i put them on the outside he kisses them and it's like kissing me every time.

Natosha 09-03-2004, 01:22 AM I send my fiance the little kisses on the outside and tell him I sealed it with a kiss. We have never had a problem with them being returned. He likes it when I send him letters like that . He says when he kisses them where I do it he closes his eyes and dreams it's me he's kissing.:D
redphoenixx 09-03-2004, 03:09 AM I've done it too, but like others have said, I think it greatly depends on the facility. Maybe you should try a "test run". In other words, just a short little letter that way it is no big deal if it doesn't go through.
freehoney 09-03-2004, 03:28 AM My fiance' is in a private facility in Oklahoma and I have never had any problems with kisses or perfume but they returned my hair twice saying it was contraband.
ozziegirl 09-03-2004, 06:51 PM Thanks heaps ladies. I guess when he does finally go to DOC's all I can do is try and continue it and see what happens. Trial run good idea as I so hate it when long letters get returned for silly reasons. Thanks again :)
Dusti 09-03-2004, 06:57 PM I was wondering the same thing, only I read in the fl doc regulations that you can't do that. So I'm going to just send him one and see what happens. HOPEFULLY they WON'T send it back!!!
techietype 09-05-2004, 09:40 AM I don't know whether or not the powers that be in Florida keep them from coming in, but they didn't seem to stop them from going out. A couple of years ago I had a pen pal in a Florida prison, and she sometimes sent me lipstick kisses. I can personally atest to the fact that they can have a powerful effect on a guy!
2nice 09-05-2004, 11:07 AM I have not tried that yet, but it is something to think about!
I was thinking the same!! :ha: I send perfumed letters but not lipstick ones! To be honest, i dont know if he is even allowed to get them. Something i'll have to try and see!
brooksangel 09-10-2004, 01:11 AM I saw an idea to include post it's with kisses on it for emergency kisses... so I tried it... They sent it back... Excessive post - it's and excessive lipstick.... So much for that idea.... Brooks is in Fed holding...
