View Full Version : Dick Conner correctional info?
If I visit, will have to take a plane. (My back is bad and I had 2 broken feet a year ago that left me with arthritis)
Hotels around or in Hominy? What is the closest airport for comercial flights? I have it as Tulsa, (about an hour drive to Hominy from there) but I don't know the area, and can't seem to find information online.
Anyone who knows the area fill me in?
Trying to see if I should try to make this all in one day, or two days....limited budget, ya know<G>
Thanks,
lis
alan1969 08-27-2004, 12:51 AM From Tulsa, go north on 75 to Skitook exit, go west on 20, you'll run right into Hominy.
TxRenee 08-27-2004, 01:10 AM No idea of any of your questions but GOOD LUCK!! :)
friend26 08-27-2004, 08:47 AM I live in the Skiatook/Hominy area. The directions you received are correct....leave the Tulsa airport on Hyw 11/west connect to north Hwy 75 it is about 15 miles to Skiatook....exit Hwy 20....go left (west) this will take you through Skiatook....keep going west on Hwy 20.....about 25 miles to Hominy. It is about 1 hour from the airport to Hominy....I don't know how long you are planning on visiting, once you are at the prison, or what time your flight might come in but I personally think it might be hard for a one day trip.
There are no hotels in Hominy....Skiatook has one small motel called Greenwood Fishing (www.greenwoodfishing.com (http://www.greenwoodfishing.com/)) it is on Hwy 20 just west of Skiatook....it would be about a 40 minute drive from the hotel to the prison. I am not sure of the rates but the web site gives you a phone number where you could call.
Remember this these are small rural towns.....the directions sound way to easy but this one is easy to find. (LOL) Once you get into Hominy you come to a 4 way stop sign/stop light.....you will turn right(I am not sure the street) but that will take you the 5 miles or so right out to the prison. Just watch for the Osage Nation Casino signs....it is right next to the prison.
PM me if you need any additional information......

supremom 10-05-2004, 06:18 PM What about that little Victorian Inn right there between Cleveland and Hominy?? That would be a good place to stay the weekend. Kim??? Isnt it between Cleveland and Hominy? After you drive it several times...things run together! LOL
sadieok 10-21-2004, 12:21 AM Actually the Victorian Inn is on the other side of Cleveland about 5 miles off of Hwy 412 (Cimarron Turnpike) but considering that Cleveland is so small (pop.3500 people) :-) 'the other side of Cleveland' is not far. You are talking about the Victorian Inn beside Judy's Restaurant, right? There is also another small country type motel in Cleveland on Caddo St. approx 12 miles from Hominy. Then Sand Springs, OK has hotels also right off Hwy 412 which is approx. 25 miles from Cleveland, OK. towards Tulsa, OK. This is prob. too late but thought I could maybe help. What about that little Victorian Inn right there between Cleveland and Hominy?? That would be a good place to stay the weekend. Kim??? Oh, thank you! I will not be going until the 13th of November, so there's plenty of time. I appreciate you all so much!
