When I saw JD on Saturday, his eyes lit up and he told me he had gotten about 30 cards from PTO people from "all over the place!!"
He asked me to tell you all "thanks!" He said that he really can't believe there are that many people out there who would spend their time and money to wish a convict they don't even know "Merry Christmas." Then he looked at me and said "You all are a really amazing group of people. That's the kind of people I want to be around when I come home. That's the kind of person I want to BE when I come home...."
:) He was so sincere, it was adorable. I take that as a commitment from him to be a very active PTO member.... :)
I have to agree with him.... You all ARE an AMAZING group of people.
This time of year is usually very hard on JD...and I have not seen him is such GOOD spirits in a long time... Thanks to everyone for making this year a joyous one for him!!

Aw, tell JD we are looking forward to being around him when he gets out.

That is so cool that he received all those cards from all over. At least that will pick up their spirits even for a little while. I just finished mailing out all the cards and man ol man.......that was a lot of work!!! But I felt so good putting them in the mail slot at the post office. Like I say, the card thing was such a good idea.

awesome to hear...I am glad to hear that he received so many but I had no doubt when the project started off that the ones on the inside would be truly blessed by this and to show them what PTO is all about. I had one of my pen pals write me too and tell me she has received some and was so touched that I put her on the list to received them. She then asked me to explain what PTO was all about. Wow how do you explain something that is so awesome...You on here are truly awesome...Cherrie

So glad JD liked them and that it helped to brighten his day. I know that Bill said he laughed and laughed at a cartoon someone enclosed in their card to him. He loved it! Then, he shared it with the other guys.
