Hello, I am new to all of this and I hope someone can help and lead me in the right direction. My fiance is in Yuma and in protective custody and has been since the first of May. His life is in danger and the prison was going to send him to buckeye and then to Newton however, "word is out" that if he shows up he will pay. He has done everything he possibly can to keep his nose clean. Works hard, 8 credits away from his degree, embraced his faith etc. His clemency hearing was this past month and as you all know very few are granted and his wasn't. I am in Oregon and he has ties to Oregon, he has a job waiting for him when he gets out (4years) but we need to get him safe. Has anyone had experience with the interstate compact process and if so is there anything I can be doing to help. He is getting the necessary paperwork filled out. I am just so frustrated because he was doing excellent and staying positive and had such a bright outlook on life and trying to take everything in stride and because he won't conform to certain peoples way of life now his is in danger. I appreciate any feedback. Sorry this is so long.
