I just looked through the Department Of Justice's parole info. webpage. They make it sound like parole is still active.I know it isn't, but why would they make it seem that way to the public? Sometimes I wonder if those #^%&*$ havn't lost their minds!!!! Unless I happened to overlook where they may have said "a long long time ago" somewhere on the page. Sonya

There are people who are still in federal prison who were sentenced under "old law" that are eligible for parole.

These are inmates whose offense was committed on or before Nov. 1, 1987.

I think the old law is like for people who were sentenced before 1986, i'm not sure. The way they make it sound, one would read it, then go away thinking parole is still going on. I just feel like they should tell people who don't know that, parole was abolished a long time ago. Sonya

I tried typing in the link, but it still came up a live link. I'm still new here, and I'm not sure how to do all that yet
