Did he just go in? Is R and R what they call receptions in California? If so, it is totally different once they are out of receptions in Michigan. A ton better. More privileges etc... Visits..Calls....

I am also guessing that is what it is. In the feds they call it R&D accept that is at each individual prison. The main entrance for the feds is the Transfer Center.
I can state that it most definitely does get better. The worst parts are county jails and the transfer/diagnostics centers..
When you hit an actual institution, the priv's will be much better.

Where is your son at? From what I know it does get better once he is settled somewhere. I'm guessing he is in reception.

Even as bad as Alabama is, Wayne said receptions was by far the worst. Each change in custody and each move has been better.
